Delegate
It is important to destress our mind, the steps to do this is exercise, meditate, eat healthy and delegate so that your stress level decrease and one can get more time for "me time". Is this really true, I understand that most of the times when I delegate activities it so happens that I get stressed more. What could be the reasons...
I was working in office and decided to do the same and delegate some activity to my subordinate, everything was moving okay.. when the deadlines came closer I observed that most of the activities are not completed on time. That is the reason when we realised that its the problem which was faced in the delegation. When we delegate a key to making this process successful is the report and review process. The day when concerned people come together and look at the progress of the activity. We cannot rely just on the response of all is okay, coz most of the times it is not true. Make the person sit in front of you and do the activities, if its a program, see that the report is extracted in front of you and then check for the tally, most of the times there is adjustments in the data which is shown to us.. So we are kept thinking that all is okay but nothing is going as per plan.
The key to becoming the top person is to learn which activities to delegate, how to extract data and how to cross check. One should never delegate activity before they have performed them by their own hand, thats the time when we understand what are the steps, how tedious is the job, where is the possibility of data going wrong and ways to find out this error. Then and then only a delegated work can become successful.
So next time you delegate - do the activity atleast 3 times by your own hand and then hand over it to your subordinate. A regular checking and discussion with other parties is necessary to know problems and sort them step by step. So delegation will decrease your stress and not increase it..
